My Story
I am passionate about creating light for others so they feel empowered to transform their life.
My name is Amy Williams and I am a lover of life.
I specialise in guiding women to nourish their body, mind, soul and spirit by teaching them that nothing is impossible.

As a Fitness Wellness Coach and a body positive advocate for over 10 years I aim to motivate and inspire women to get out of their comfort zone when it comes to starting exercise, being in a gym, lifting weights or honouring their highest self.
Through my own personal journey, it hasn't been all about having it all together, a perfect body or a perfect mindset.
Our story is what makes us unique and our story is meant to be shared, our story is what makes us, us.

Amy
When I was younger I loved running, being fit and playing netball.
This was my exercise in high school and naturally I wanted to get better so,
I joined a gym.
My first session with a Personal Trainer is one I won't forget.
My brother had to drop me off because I was 16 and didn't have a licence. My drink bottle leaked all over my pants and it looked like I had wet myself.
I kept my jumper wrapped around my waist and when I met the Trainer, he was a 30 year old model.
I still did the session, even though I was embarrassed. I think that was when I started to face my fears. I also realised no one should ever have to go through that!

After years of training at a gym, I found the sport bodybuilding.
Bodybuilding was my biggest lesson in health and from my lessons, I want to educate women on what is healthy.

No one knew this about me, but I had an under lying eating disorder known as Bulimia.
As I look back now, as a younger lady, I had no idea what was wrong with me, why I did what I did and how to stop it.
I carried a lot of shame around with me for years.

As I entered into Bodybuilding at a very young age of 22, I carried out an extremely restrictive diet consisting of barramundi, oats and asparagus. After 8 Weeks of dieting I won the INBA Melbourne Fitness Novice category.
After many doubts of not going to succeed, I pushed my mind, body and soul to new limits, that today, I will never do again, even though I won.

I learn't to love myself at any size
I competed the year after my first competition and it severely disrupted my hormonal system, mental health and spirit.

I believe I had to go down a dark hole in order to find my light again. I put on 10kgs after my competitions in a very short time and it took my body 2 years to get back to homeostasis.

It was HARD to accept what I had done to my body, I was always fit, healthy, a petite frame and happy.
But it doesn't have to continue that way.

In this time, I opened up about my bulimia, was able to speak rawly and openly about my hidden shame. I believe this freed me. There was no hiding anymore and I had to face it.

I looked in the mirror and told myself, you are still you, and you are going to be okay.

This was the beginning of self-respect, self-acceptance and valuing my True Inner Being.

I completed my Bachelor in Visual Art and Design before competing thinking that was my path but realised I had to help women not make the same mistake I did. Luckily my creative side has helped me in my business today, so I can touch more souls, just like you.
I ventured into becoming a Personal Trainer. I successfully had my own studio and I successfully failed at that too, that can be a story for another day! But here I am, going again because that is what life is about. If we fall down, we get up. If we fall down again, we get up again.
With 10 years experience of learning how to love yourself at a deep level, at any size, I am now passionately helping women all over Australia to become the best versions of themselves.

I believe we shouldn't carry shame around our story, we feel liberated when we share as we are wired for connection. The awareness and shining light onto your subconscious is the beginning of your transformational journey.

Because I was able to do the work, I was able to compete again, safely, in a loving and nurturing way and my body has been able to stay in a maintenance zone.
I see my body as my temple and my heart as a beacon of light,
Your body loves you as it is, without you knowing it, keeping you alive at this very moment.
Honour all that you are, mind, body, soul and spirit.

Thank you for reading my story,
